Technical Due Diligence and Capability Assessment
Uncrewed vessel claims are easy to make and hard to check. Investors, primes and buyers need someone who has operated this kind of vessel to say what it can actually do, what it will cost to run, and what is missing.
What gets assessed
- Capability against mission requirement, honestly, including the conditions where the vessel stops working.
- Operational cost and manning reality. What running it actually takes in people, shore support, spares and downtime, as opposed to what the brochure implies.
- Supplier or programme readiness. Procedures, competence, approvals, and how far from operating they really are.
- Integration. Payloads, control systems, communications and data handling against the intended use.
- Risk position for an investment, an acquisition or a contract award.
- Buy-side specification support, so a tender asks for what you actually need rather than for what the last tender asked for.
What you get
A short, direct written assessment with the reasoning shown, and the questions you should be asking next. Findings are given straight, whichever way they point, which is the only reason to hire an outsider for this.
How it runs
Days rather than weeks, usually under a confidentiality agreement. Work is declined where it would conflict with an existing engagement, and that is said plainly rather than worked around.
